'White Bird Ceremonial Dove Releases' Demo

I've always suggested to my brides that dollar-for-dollar, one of the best wedding values is a dove release. When you consider the thousands of dollars spent on wedding catering, videography, photography, and flowers- a few hundred dollars for a stunning dove release is a small investment. Not only is it a celebration of your committment in marriage, but eyecandy for your videographer and photographer. Dove releases add a stunning visual element to our work.

My dear friend Anna has run White Bird Ceremonial Dove Releases as long as I can remember. She is a true professional, and really loves and cares for her birds as she would her own children!

The video clip above shows the birds in action- with a backdrop of several of Sacramento's most popular wedding sites, such as the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Vizcaya, the California State Capitol, Newcastle Wedding Gardens, and the Orchard Creek Lodge in Lincoln. NBC's Suze Orman "fights back tears."

Lisa & Jerry were married in July, 2007 at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Sacramento. The reception was held at the Arden Hills Country Club. Their very unique relationship was highlighted on the Suze Orman show, and featured video clips of their beautiful wedding from Jensen Wedding Films. Orman has been following Lisa and Jerry's love story for some time. Click THIS LINK to view a short version the NBC interview.

Wedding Crashers!

I had my longest wedding day last Saturday- a 17 hour shoot- from 6am (bride getting ready) to 11pm (end of reception) with two tea ceremonies and a beautiful Catholic mass in between. In all it was an 8 location shoot.

During the mass, what appears to be a homeless woman walked into the church, down the aisle, and began to adjust the brides dress at the altar. Our very alert wedding photographer Debbie Norman from Lilly Rose Photography kindly ushered her out of the building. Here is the video clip.

The Catholic church in the Sacramento area has done much to help those less fortunate. We are grateful to their charitable service in our community.

Our second 'wedding crasher' of the day was my brother Steve. He is one of the most creative shooters I know, but in his attempt to get a artistic first dance shot, tripped on the steps behind him and landed on his back, knocking over a tall centerpiece on the way down. Here is the video clip. We'll do almost anything for a great shot!
