I've always felt that the mark of a true professional is how they handle themselves when unexpected challenges arise. I had the wonderful opportunity of filming Alicia and Jim's wedding at the whimsical Cornerstone Gardens in Sonoma, CA. The wedding was coordinated by Debra Hiebert of Tres Fabu Event Planning and Design. The wedding was held on a scorching hot summer day, and Debra went down with heat exhaustion- but she refused to let her condition affect the event. Debra took a short break to recover and -with her assistant- finished her coordinating duties without skipping a beat. The wedding was a huge success! You will not see Debra in this film, but her creative passion and attention to detail can be found in nearly every scene.

As you may know, I'm a big fan of talented wedding planners. They make a huge difference in helping us get the footage we need to produce timeless wedding cinematography. Good event planning and design allows us to anticipate and prepare for great shooting opportunities rather than merely reacting to them.
